Looking for an easy way to stay organized at the Marketing Artificial Intelligence Conference (MAICON)? Our team developed a highly interactive mobile app to help you navigate the conference. Attendees can download it today in the App Store or Google Play Store

(To log in, use the email address you provided at registration and your confirmation reference number as the password.)

Read on for nine can’t-miss features within the app.

1. Allow Push Notifications.

When you first download the app, you’ll be prompted to allow push notifications. The answer? Yes! Important conference announcements, chats from other attendees, and other notifications will be sent directly to your phone this way. (We won’t spam you, we promise!)

You can turn them on or off at any time by tapping the three dots in the right-hand corner of the home screen, and selecting Settings.

2. Personalize Your Agenda.

The agenda displays everything from general sessions to networking events—and there’s a lot going on at MAICON! The app makes the agenda much more manageable.

Through the Agenda module, each day of the conference is broken down into individual sessions, including the time, location, and speaker for each. Select the three-dot icon in the top right corner to further filter the agenda by track, by time, or alphabetically.

Does one session stand out to you in particular? Tap the star icon to the right of the event to add it to the My Agenda feature. This allows you to organize your own conference agenda with the sessions you’re planning to attend. Please note that adding a session does not automatically register you; all sessions are on a first come, first served basis.

Tip: When you tap into an event in the agenda, you can scroll down and select the speaker’s name to view all the other sessions they are participating in.

3. Navigate through MAICON using the Floor Plan.

The Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland can be a large area to take in at first glance. To make navigation easier, refer to the Floor Plan module, which will display an image of the conference layout.

Click on any of the meeting rooms, and the app will automatically display the sessions and events taking place in that location. You can also easily find sponsor locations by filtering the floor plan by category.

4. Check Out the Attendee List.

The Attendees module provides a great networking opportunity, as you can see and interact with other MAICON attendees. If you are interested in starting a conversation with someone, just tap on his or her name and send a message.

We encourage all attendees to use the My Profile module to upload a photo and any other personal information you want to appear in the attendee list.

5. Engage with the Activity Feed.

When someone tweets with the MAICON Twitter hashtag (#MAICON19) or the MAICON Facebook page creates a post, the Activity Feed pulls this content directly from the platform and into the app. There’s also an inter-app social feature, where users can share social updates from within their own Activity Feed.

To filter your Activity Feed, press any of the four icons at the top of the page. For example, if you press the Facebook icon, all MAICON Facebook posts will be eliminated from your feed. Refer to the FAQ module for more information on how to navigate the activity feed.

Tip: Navigate to the Subscribe section and select topics that interest you. Only the people subscribed to these threads can view the content—think of them as private MAICON discussion groups for those with similar interests.

6. Explore the Places Module.

In this module, you can find every location you’ll go while at MAICON, including hotels, the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland, the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, and Nuevo Cleveland, where we’ll host the Opening Night Meetup.

Need directions? Choose a destination on the list to access step-by-step navigation

Toggle to the Map view to see a bird’s eye view of the city, MAICON-specific locations, and other Cleveland hot spots. There are some great places to explore in the heart of Cleveland!

7. Leave a Review.

To make future events even better, we'd like your feedback. Select the Ratings & Reviews module to access the full agenda and list of speakers. You can rate any sessions you attend and the speakers with a 5-star scale. You can also write a personalized review (you choose if it is anonymous).

Your thoughtful feedback helps us decide which topics, workshops, sessions, and speakers to bring back next year—and what we can add.

Tip: Reviews increase your standing on the Leaderboard—each review earns you 25 points! Keep reading to learn more about the Leaderboard function.

8. Climb Your Way Up the Leaderboard.

As you experience MAICON, engage with the app to rank on the Leaderboard. The attendee with the most points at the end of the conference will win a FREE ticket to MAICON 2020.*

The points system:

  • Post in the Activity Feed = 15 points
  • Comment in the Activity Feed = 10 points
  • Like something in the Activity Feed = 5 points
  • Check in at registration = 10 points
  • Scan into a breakout session = 10 points
  • Review a session = 25 points
  • Review a speaker = 25 points

Check out your point status at any time by viewing the Leaderboard module.

* In the event of a tie, the winner will be selected at random in a drawing.

9. Use the Notes Module to Stay Organized.

In the Notes module, you can take detailed notes on anything at MAICON and store them in one spot. You can access Notes throughout the app, so it’s easy to jot speaker notes during a session (from the Agenda module) or reminders to reach out to the attendee you met while networking (from the Attendees module).

You’ll be prompted to enter your email address when you begin—you can send your notes to this email address as one combined message at the end of the conference.
